Boarding a cruise ship for the first time is like entering a new world, seemingly endless corridors with hundreds of identical doors combined with, if you’re prepared to pay for it, endless 🍸 drinks 🍸
Our first stop after arriving onboard was a trip down to the Pursers Office /Passenger Services, I had read about a little known about tour of the ship that was available to the first 20 people that signed up….oh and paid A$150 each. We were in luck first 2 names on the list and we were off to purchase the Non Alcoholic Beverage package. Many people are of the understanding that cruises are “all inclusive”……well for food they are but not for any drinks other than tap water, instant coffee and what I was led to believe was supposed to be tea. Finished on deck 5 we went to get a cold drink and search out our stateroom. The old adage that “you get what you pay for” comes to mind, to say we were happy would be an understatement. Our mini suite was fantastic, large comfy bed, bathroom with whirlpool bath and separate loo, a seating area with large TV coffee table and storage and best of all a large balcony with comfy recliner chairs and an aft view of the wake.
